The Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Workshop kicks off on June 19th, and we are eager to welcome eighteen emerging writers back to the campus of UC San Diego to work with five professional writers of speculative fiction and under the guidance of Faculty Director and UCSD writing professor Jac Jemc.
That also means the Clarion Reading Series is back at Mysterious Galaxy this summer! Mark your calendars to hear from our fabulous slate of instructors for 2022:
- July 13, 7pm: Sam J. Miller (author of Boys, Beasts & Men, The Blade Between, and Blackfish City, among others)
- July 19, 7pm: Gwenda Bond (author of Not Your Average Hot Guy, Stranger Things: Suspicious Minds, and the Cirque American series, among others) and Christopher Rowe (author of These Prisoning Hills, Telling the Map, and (with his wife, Gwenda Bond) the Supernormal Sleuthing Service series of middle grade novels)
These readings are free and open to the public. Please note: we ask guests to wear masks to these events. Looking forward to seeing you there!
