In this special lecture, Sir Roger Penrose will explore how Hawking Points --Stephen Hawking's prediction of glowing black holes -- explain the nature of how our universe was formed and if there are others like it.

IMG_7200Sir Roger Penrose, the celebrated mathematician and physicist, is an Emeritus Professor at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Oxford and winner of the Copley Medal and the Wolf Prize in Physics -- which he shared with Stephen Hawking. He has made profound contributions in geometry, black hole singularities, the unification of quantum mechanics and general relativity, the structure of space-time, the nature of consciousness and the origin of our Universe.
