Recently, Sheldon Brown, director of the Clarke Center, and Vernor Vinge, award-winning science fiction author, sat down with Maureen Cavanaugh on KPBS's Midday Edition to talk about our Science Fiction Meets Architecture lecture series, the future of megamalls, and the internet of things. The Science Fiction Meets Architecture: London in 2080 series is presented in partnership with University College London's Bartlett School of Architecture. The first event took place on May 4, 2016, and the second takes place on May 25, 2016. The series was organized by David Kirsh and Sheldon Brown at UC San Diego's Arthur C. Clarke Center for Human Imagination and Alan Penn and Ava Fatah at UCL's Bartlett School of Architecture.
