Tara Knight, Assistant Professor of Digital Media, UCSD | Associate Dean for Diversity, Arts & Humanities

 

Tara Knight is an Assistant Professor of Digital Media at the University of California San Diego’s Department of Theatre and Dance, and an Associate Dean for Diversity for the Arts & Humanities Department. An award winning filmmaker, animator, and projection designer, Tara is currently directing Mikumentary, a series of short films about the worldwide Hatsune Miku holographic phenomenon.

Ayse P. Saygin, PhD, Associate Professor, UCSD | Principal Investigator, Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology Lab

 

Ayse P. Saygin is an Associate Professor of Cognitive Science and Neurosciences at the University of California San Diego. Her group takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of brain and mind, exploring a range of topics such as multisensory perception, social cognition, human-robot interaction, artificial intelligence and consciousness. She is currently researching how our brains deal with artificial social agents and virtual reality.

Dinesh Padiyar, Owner of Triple Take Holographics

 

Dinesh Padiyar is the Owner of Triple Take Holographics, where he oversees the design of new optical devices using holographic, diffractive systems. Prior to starting his own company, Dinesh held multiple research positions with leading holographic companies, including: Richmond Holographic Studios, Applied Holographics, Icon Holographics, as well as Strategic Defense Initiative, Reagan Star Wars, and optical security company, American Banknote Holographics.
